New Feature for Stedman Solutions Monthly Services

We are pleased to announce a new feature for our Monthly Managed Services customers and Daily Monitoring customers!

New feature: Email Notification for Blocking Queries.

Picture this scenario:

Your SQL Server runs into blocking but you don’t find out until it is too late. Your server eventually gets to the point where it is so backlogged on the blocking that you end up rebooting or restarting the SQL Server.

With your new Blocking Query email notification, you are notified about those blocking queries as they happen rather than when it is too late.

We have been running this feature in a testing / beta mode for several months with a couple of clients and have had great success in tracking down and resolving the blocking queries. Having found and resolved dozens of blocking queries this new feature is sure to be beneficial.

Feature Options:

• Notify based on a certain threshold of number of queries blocked
• Notify based on a certain threshold of amount of time blocked

***For current Monthly Managed Services and Daily Monitoring customers – if this is a feature you would like enabled, just let us know and we enable this feature for you or send you the updated program to enable it.
