Do you need SQL Server Performance Tuning Help?

This usually involves initial contact with a new client who is having performance problems. From there it leads to a quick 30 to 45 minute call to discuss the problem, then a proposed contract to go and fix the performance issue. Once a contract is in place we dive in to fix the problem.

The performance projects are usually 7 to 14 days long with initial results being shown in 24 to 48 hours after the start of the project.

It starts out with in in-depth review of a SQL Server with specific focus on a performance issue. We figure out where the problems are, is it an issue with disk speed, is there enough CPU available, enough RAM, are there missing indexes, issues with the plans associated, you get the picture. We check over 80 configuration settings and study the system to figure out why it is slow. The WHY is perhaps the most important question to ask, once we understand WHY, we than then focus on fixing it.
