There have been a few request this week for an extra clue. So here are two clues… Posted at 1:30pm (Pacific Time) on 5/25/2015.
- Sometimes when there is more than a single corruption in a database, fixing the first corruption prevents you from being able to see where the other corruption is later.
- There is a big difference in an index if you drop it and recreate it compared to if you just do an ALTER INDEX … REBUILD. The rebuild keeps the same data in the index if it is can, and the drop and recreate, rebuilds the index from the table.
