What are some of the common scenarios that may cause you to need to recover from your SQL Server backups?
Dropped or truncated table: What if someone dropped a table. How are you going to get that back? Does your current backup strategy have you covered?
What if you have a hard drive failure? Do you have backups that are going to cover the business needs for that?
And how about ransomware?. That’s kind of a doozy for most people. Usually, that puts a lot of people out of business. But we want to make sure we have backups to cover for ransomware attacks.
How about a data center fire or an office building fire where the entire building is gone?.
Flooding and hurricanes. I have put those both into one category for now it’s something that could happen. They may knock you out permanently, or they may just be a temporarily loss of power, or internet. What is your recovery strategy.
Civil Unrest: Not something I may have considered in the past. What if you physically can’t get your location or your location is destroyed by rioting, vandalism or looting.
These are all things that we can help you plan for with our backup and recovery assessment package.
