For me, I support SQL Server version from SQL Server 2000 all the way to SQL Server 2019 and Azure SQL. In a typical week I work on everything in between SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2008R2, SQL Server 2012, SQL Server 2014, SQL Server 2016, SQL Server 2017, SQL Server 2019 and Azure SQL.
Supporting such a wide variety of SQL Servers has its own set of difficulties, however at Stedman Solutions we do it often enough that we have it down.
Although I would love for everyone to move to the latest version of SQL Server, there are just some scenarios where some critical business system relies on that older version of SQL Server and it is just cost prohibitive to move to a newer version.
So, please tell me, what versions of SQL Server do you typically support in a normal work week? Please post your response below.
