I just received my email with the PASS Summit 2018 session evaluations, for my presentation on SQL Server Join types.
I loved the feedback, thanks everyone who completed the session evaluations.
Something about the Venn diagrams, which have been very controversial in the past.
Great presentation of material. Clear explanations. Venn diagrams very helpful.
I love the comment on the limited scope. I would have loved to have spent an entire day doing a deep dive into much more, but I only had 75 minutes.
Steve did a great job with the limited scope of his subject. I learned some new join concepts.
Referencing the join types poster.
Your online poster is awesome. It’ll be a great tool to use at work. I got a little lost when you were trying to demo the joins. The table IDs/names were a little abstract for me. It was a 100-level session, so I can’t complain about simplicity of content. Table relationships and joins are foundational to SQL server. Thanks for sharing!
Here is one that was a little off base for my presentation, I don’t think I should take credit for the food, or the chairs:
Excellent instructors. Classrooms were well-organized. Chairs were much better (more comfortable) than last PASS Summit I attended (2011). Food (lunch) was better than last PASS Summit I attended (2011), but still has room for improvement.
Thank you everyone who provided feedback, I will use this to improve my presentation skills for next time. This was my 4th year presenting at PASS Summit, and I look forward to being able to present again in the future.
