What is a Kanban Board

A kanban board, agile board, or agile kanban board is a tool to display the status of tasks in the workflow process.  A cork board or sticky notes can be used as a offline kanban board.

And here is an example of a kanban board using sticky notes.

Each card on the board represents a user story or card as work is done on the user story it is moved form one column with the goal of reaching the category of Done.
